Meet the Team

Stephanie Ritchie

Steph’s journey into physiotherapy began back in 2009 with a HND in Sports Therapy, before going all in and graduating with a BSc Honours in Physiotherapy in 2015. She kicked off her career at NHS Forth Valley, spending four and a half years rotating in different specialties (because why settle for one when you can try them all?).

Alongside the NHS, Steph juggled working in football and basketball, before finally taking the leap into full-time private practice in 2019. Following a year and a half of developing her skills in private practice, she decided it was time to carve her own path—and just like that, SP Physiotherapy was born. She hasn’t looked back!

When she’s not helping patients get back on their feet, Steph is most likely clocking up steps on a walk, sweating it out at the gym, or hunting down her next holiday destination. She’s also a massive dog lover — so if you’ve got a wagging tail and four paws, you’re instantly her favourite.
In short: part physiotherapist, part entrepreneur, part gym-goer, and 100% dog person.

Danielle (Danni)

Originally from Salford, Manchester, Danni moved up to Scotland in 2008 and graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She has since built up over 12 years of experience across private practice, sport, and the NHS (because one setting clearly wasn’t enough).

Her background includes orthopaedics, medical and community physiotherapy, but the majority of her career has been focused on musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and rheumatology. She is also a fully qualified APPI Pilates instructor and regularly teaches classes—so expect a strong focus on movement, control, and probably being given exercises you’ll promise to do at home.

Danni is trained in acupuncture through the AACP and holds a postgraduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine (SOMM). Before leaving the NHS, she was developing her skills in injection therapy and imaging, with plans to move into diagnostic ultrasound in the future (she’s not one for standing still).

Outside of work, Danni is a busy mum to her daughter Orla. She enjoys hiking, Pilates, strength training and spin classes—so yes, she practices what she preaches. She loves sunshine and good food… but draws the line firmly at spiders.

Tracy Hamill

Originally from North Carolina, Tracy made the leap across the pond to Paisley in May 2024. With a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and fourteen years working in the veterinary world, she’s no stranger to juggling tasks – which comes in handy as she works alongside Trish as the other half of our dynamic reception duo! When she’s not at SP Physiotherapy, you’ll find her hiking, reading, travelling, or bending herself into a yoga or Pilates pose — and yes, she’s still a big animal lover at heart.
