Stephanie Ritchie
Steph’s journey into physiotherapy began back in 2009 with a HND in Sports Therapy, before going all in and graduating with a BSc Honours in Physiotherapy in 2015. She kicked off her career at NHS Forth Valley, spending four and a half years rotating in different specialties (because why settle for one when you can try them all?).
Alongside the NHS, Steph juggled working in football and basketball, before finally taking the leap into full-time private practice in 2019. Following a year and a half of developing her skills in private practice, she decided it was time to carve her own path—and just like that, SP Physiotherapy was born. She hasn’t looked back!
When she’s not helping patients get back on their feet, Steph is most likely clocking up steps on a walk, sweating it out at the gym, or hunting down her next holiday destination. She’s also a massive dog lover — so if you’ve got a wagging tail and four paws, you’re instantly her favourite.
In short: part physiotherapist, part entrepreneur, part gym-goer, and 100% dog person.
Hannah Polden
Hailing from Romsey near Southampton, Hannah has travelled far and wide — from the NHS in Southern England to a private clinic in Melbourne, to helping military personnel in Scotland. A physiotherapy whizz with a love for sports injuries (especially foot and ankle!), she’s all about helping patients gain confidence and independence. Off the clock, you’ll find her running, cycling, and racing in duathlons — basically anything that gets her heart racing!
Emma Craig
Emma graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2024 and hasn’t stopped moving since! As Head of Academy Physiotherapy with Queen’s Park FC, she merges her love of sports with her passion for helping people recover and stay active. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her playing football, trying out new fitness adventures, and keeping her skills sharp to help you smash your rehabilitation goals.
Patricia (Trish) Kennedy
Meet Trish, our friendly face at reception for the past four years! Now settled into our brand-new clinic, she loves meeting all our lovely patients in person. A sporty spirit at heart, Trish enjoys bootcamp, yoga, golf, swimming, and long walks — basically anything that keeps her moving and having fun. She’s proof that receptionists can do more than answer the phone… they can inspire you to get moving too!
Tracy Hamill
Originally from North Carolina, Tracy made the leap across the pond to Paisley in May 2024. With a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and fourteen years working in the veterinary world, she’s no stranger to juggling tasks – which comes in handy as she works alongside Trish as the other half of our dynamic reception duo! When she’s not at SP Physiotherapy, you’ll find her hiking, reading, travelling, or bending herself into a yoga or Pilates pose — and yes, she’s still a big animal lover at heart.
