SP Physiotherapy Welcomes a new Physiotherapist
The team at SP Physiotherapy continues to expand as the practice welcomes a new Physiotherapist to the team.
With an expansive background in sports after studying Sports and Exercise Science at Abertay University, Lewis Esplin will bring a wealth of knowledge to the team at SP Physiotherapy and will be a great support to new patients joining the practice.
After obtaining his degree in Sports and Exercise with a particular focus on Biomechanics and Teaching, Lewis embarked on his Personal Training and Fitness Advising career at Energie Fitness in Dundee where he played a vital role in educating people on the benefits of structured exercise plans to improve overall wellbeing.
Following this, Lewis decided to further his career in the field and returned to his studies to complete a Pre-reg MSc in Physiotherapy.
A valued team member, Lewis will deliver several specialised treatments that have been designed to help patients with ongoing muscle pain or injury. These treatments include exercise prescription, massage therapy, muscle energy techniques, education, and general advice.
Lewis said:
“I am delighted to have joined Stephanie and the team at SP Physiotherapy after recently completing my Pre-reg in the field.
“My background in the fitness industry has allowed me to understand the complexities associated with sports injuries and I look forward to helping support patients of SPP through their recovery.
“The welcoming atmosphere in the practice speaks for itself and I’m excited about meeting some new patients over the coming months”.
Out with work, Lewis particularly enjoys weightlifting, running, cycling, and painting.
